We are extremely pleased to announce that CALTAF has been selected by Canadian Tire Jumpstart to receive a Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund grant!
This fund helps community sport organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids.
With Jumpstart’s support, we’ll be able to expand our Cheetah Track & Field Program for athletes 8-11 to Calgary Challenger Rotary Athletic Park in the NE.
With this funding we will ALSO be able to offer eight scholarships which will cover registration and competition costs to help get athletes involved in track and field. Five of those scholarships are currently available. Do you know an athlete you would like to nominate for one of these scholarships? If you do please email our Executive Director. These scholarships will go a long way to helping us get athletes returned to sport!
Jumpstart conducted a State of Sport study which revealed that this pandemic has not only impacted current access to sport and play but has real, long-term effects as well. We have experienced this first-hand. We are beyond grateful to receive this grant and know the positive impact it will have on kids across the country and our CALTAF family here at home.
