Here are some highlights from the meet:

All three of our 4x100m relay teams qualified to compete at Provincials. One of CALTAF’s youngest team of Cheetahs; Zoe Leuders to Kjirsti Sellers to Jazmin MacIntosh to JD’s Alex, who ran a strong anchor leg for the team, won the 11-12 years relay. The team of Molly to Erika to Maddie to Denise placed 2nd in the 13-14 years relay, finishing in an impressive 54.3s. Our younger 13-14yrs team of Skylar to Eden to Adrienne to Katy also qualified, finishing 3rd.

Despite having to compete amongst a talented field of athletes who are a year older than she is, Jasper enjoyed outstanding results, qualifying for Hershey Provincials in all three of her events. Jasper finished 3rd in the 100m in 14.10, 3rd in the 200m in 27.9 – a personal best of almost 2s – and cleared 2.19m in the standing long jump to qualify fourth.

Shaniah won both the 13-14 years 800m and 1600m, qualifying 1st for Provincials in both events. Teammate Annika finished second in both events, also qualifying for the Provincial Championships.

Allie looked very strong in the 800m and, despite having to compete against older athletes, finished 3rd to qualify for Provincials.

Erika ran a personal best 26.9 in the 200m to qualify first for Hershey Provincials. Just to prove how versatile she is, Erika also entered the ball throw competition, where she qualified third.

Although competing against older athletes, Ryan qualified 3rd in the 800m, taking almost 2s off his PB. Ryan also qualified 2nd in the ball throw, with a throw of 38.36m.
