JD Results from Hershey Provincial Meet

Congratulations to Alex Bymoen, Allison, Nicky and Nicole, who competed at the Hershey Provincial Meet on Saturday and, in particular, to our two provincial medalists, Nicky and Alex.

Nicky came home with gold, silver and bronze medals. She won the gold medal in the ball throw, finishing 1st of thirteen athletes with a throw of 43.66m.Nicky was 2nd of twelve athletes in the standing long jump, jumping 2.24m. In the 100m, Nicky finished 3rd of 19 athletes to win the bronze medal. Well done Nicky!

Alex brought home silver and bronze medals. He won the silver medal in the ball throw, finishing 2nd of nineteen athletes with a throw of 59.32m. In the 100m, Alex finished 3rd of twenty-one athletes in a time of 11.97s, to win the bronze medal. Well done Alex!

Nicole also had a great meet, finishing just out of the medals in both of her events. Nicole finished 4th of fourteen athletes in the 200m in a time of 27.92s and 5th of nineteen athletes in the 100m in a time of 13.80s. Well done Nicole!

Despite having to compete against athletes a year her senior, Allison came away with 5th, 6th and 7th place finishes. Allison ran a PB of 13.71s in the 100m preliminary to finish 5th of nineteen athletes and qualify for the final, where she placed 6th overall, 1st of the 1995 athletes. In the 200m, Allison finished 7th of fourteen athletes overall, 2nd of the 1995 athletes, in a time of 28.72s. Finally, in the ball throw, Allison finished 1st of the 1995 athletes with a throw of 32.12m, 5th of thirteen athletes overall. Well done Allison!
