An update from Barb about some of the great work that people in Caltaf have been doing:
Caltaf has had a number of coaches named to Provincial and National Teams. We would like to congratulate them and thank them for the commitment that they make to Track and Field in Calgary!!
- Jason Lindsay – Head coach – 2010 Western Canadian Midget and Youth Track and Field Championship
- Robin Barclay – Staff Coach – 2010 Western Canadian Midget and Youth Track and Field Championship
- Derrick Johnston – Staff Coach – Legion Nationals
- Nikki Barlow – Staff Coach – Team Calgary – Alberta Summer Games
The outdoor season has just begun and we have had a number of athletes make teams that are highly competitive.
- Congratulations to all the High School athletes who made it to Provincials
- Congratulations to the 21 athletes from Caltaf who have been named to the 2010 Alberta Summer Games Team.
- Congratulations to Nicola Charlesworth for being chosen as Athlete of the Week for CTV – It was a great interview and well deserved!
- Congratulations to Gareth Hadfield on the article in the Calgary Herald recognizing his success as a Track and Field athlete in Calgary.
I am excited to see that our sport is gaining a higher profile and I am thrilled to see how well our club is being represented both Provincially and Nationally.
