Congratulations to Kamila and Mehrdad who have been named to the team that will represent Alberta at the Legion National Championships in Langley BC, from August 9 to 11. Only twelve midgets were named to the team of thirty-seven midget and youth athletes and this, along with the fact that both Mehrdad and Kamila are first-year midgets, makes this an especially remarkable accomplishment. Well done Mehrdad and Kamila! Good luck at Legion Nationals – your first national competition!

I would also like to congratulate Harrison and first-year midgets Kamila, Hanna and Mehrdad, who have been named to the team that will represent Alberta at the Western Canadian Midget and Youth Championships here in Calgary on 27th and 28th July. Team Alberta will battle it out against Team Saskatchewan and Team Manitoba for the title of Western Canadian Midget and Youth Champions. I will look forward to watching you compete.
