CALTAF Track and Field

Fantastic does not begin to describe the day that the Cheetahs had in Edmonton!  Despite cool breezy conditions early in the day our 4 relay teams went out and set the tone for an incredible day of competition.

The 2002-2003 Boys 4x100m Relay team of James V, Matthew F, Thomas E and Alex M placed 3^rd in 1:06.18.

The 2002-2003 Girls 4x100m Relay team of Zoe L, Kjirsti S, Georgia C and Alex M placed 2^nd in 1:03.07.

Next up was the 2004-2005 Girls 4x100m Relay team of Alivia K, Sable B, Kaela S and Sarah F who blazed to victory in 1:07.95.  Our 2004-2005 boys wanting to keep our top three-streak going ran an incredible 1:06.40 a NEW HERSHEY PROVINCIAL MEET RECORD! The old record had stood for 5 years and they broke it by a full second. Congratulations to Michael H, Ziad S, Malcolm B and Josh R.

Our leading male performer of the day was Malcolm B who ran a great 3^rd leg on the relay team.  Malcolm also won the 50m, won the 100m in a personal best time and won the Standing Long Jump.

Our leading female performer of the day was Sarah F who anchored the winning 2004-2005 Relay team.  Sarah also won the 100m, was 2^ND in the 400m in a personal best time and won the Standing Long Jump.

The following athletes set Personal Bests:  Malcolm (100m), Sarah (400m), Karen F (400m), Alex M (400m), Nicole B (400m & 800m), Zoe L (400m), Michael H (Softball Throw), Robyn M (Softball Throw) and James V (Softball Throw). Our remaining athletes put up marks that were very close to their best.
