The Cheetahs had a great showing at the Provincial Championships! There were so many highlights…

The Pee Wee Girls 60m was fast this year, great job Marissa, our 2016 Provincial Champion! Jordyn’s 2^nd place finish in the 300m was quite impressive. The Iron Woman Award goes to Julia for re-running her 300m and then doing the 600m. We are so impressed with Hayley for re-running her 60m and doing the 600m and Madison for having the courage to tackle the 600m. The Cheetah ladies had a fantastic competition across the board.

Our Tyke Girls contingent was small but powerful! Rowan started off the weekend with a great long jump. In the 300m Tatiana, Marley and Noelle took it out Usain Bolt fast and Tatiana was rewarded with the 3^rd fastest time of the day for all the Cheetah Ladies.

The Pee Wee Boys were incredible this weekend! They fought hard in every race and they all finished so close to each other in the final standings. In the field it was great seeing Holt get another Shot Put Personal Best, his second competition doing so this year and becoming the Provincial Champion. The highlight of the meet had to be the Boys High Jump. With each height the smiles got bigger and bigger. Owen’s “I made it!!” when he got over the bar was priceless! Congratulations to Josh on surpassing his goal height and ending up the 2016 Provincial Champion.
