Congratulations on a job well done Cheetahs! The PeeWee Boys with 38 points and the PeeWee Girls with 33 points ran terrific races and were rewarded with Bronze place finishes in both divisions.
Sarah F in 6th place led the way for the girl’s team with a strong 8:28 on the beautiful course at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre. Ella C 10th in 8:57 ran a great race placing second for the team. Our third scoring runner in her first Provincials was Alix T 15th in 9:37. Talia Rawlings closed impressively in a tough battle for 21st in 10:10 followed by Madison C who ran an incredible gutsy race to finish 22nd in 10:42.
Malcolm B in his trademark “Malcolm Style” ran an outstanding race and placed 4th in 8:13. Josh R in 9:40 and Owen C in 9:44 worked very well as a team and were rewarded with 16th and 17th place finishes. Lachlan S, one of our younger runners in his first Provincials placed 23rd in 10:47 securing the bronze for the Cheetahs. Our youngest competitors of the day Matthew F 28th in 11:26 and Bryce W 30th in 11:52 ran excellent races and should be very proud of themselves.
