Coached by Bill Morrish, the Group meets four times per week, but the degree of commitment is determined by the athlete and their involvement in other sports.
The main emphasis of this group is improving sprinting speed in all sprint events from 60 meters to 400 meters, all hurdle events from 60 meters to 400 meters, and long, triple, and high jump. Throws are also offered
There are three seasons:
Base Training (October to Mid November)
Sprinters will work on sprinting technique, speed, speed endurance and strength work.

Indoor Training (Mid November to Early April)
There is a total of five track meets we will compete in. Three in Calgary at the University, and two in Edmonton, the last of which is the provincial championships.

Saturday 10:30-12:00 pm Mount Royal University (Beginning October 28)

Outdoor Training (Early April to Mid-August)
The athletes will compete in numerous meets including Dino School meets, Three New Balance series, Caltaf Classic, and the Provincial championships. Those athletes that are successful will find themselves as part of the Tri Province team for Alberta. Some who can achieve the standard will get to go to the National Legion Championships in August.
