Caltaf At High School Cross Provincials

On Saturday, October 19th, the Caltaf athletes and Coaches headed to Dunmore, Alberta to compete at the Alberta High School Provincials. Each athlete had placed in the top 18 of their zone and now earned the right to represent their High Schools, Zones and Caltaf at the Championship event.

Upon arriving at the course, I think every athlete attending was overwhelmed by the first mountain that they had to run up to get to the hills on the top of the plateau. By far this was the most challenging cross country ever seen by Coach Christine. They had run hills in the past but nothing compared to this in a race. Slow and Steady were the words of the day! All the athletes worked very hard and at the end of the day were extremely happy with their results as follows….
