Message from Jon Wong

To the Members of the CALTAF community,

My name is Jon Wong and I am the coach of the Calgary Spartans Junior Development Group.  At some point in time you’ve probably crossed paths with me at a practice or at a competition.  As those of you who know me I am passionate about track and field.  Over the past couple of years, many people have helped in trying to get a field house built here in Calgary.  With the new election coming, and the potential of a new city council, the hard work done by many in the past few months may be all for not.  I don’t want to see this happen and want to make sure that the idea of building a field house in Calgary remains fresh on city council’s mind.  I have taken it upon myself to enter the aldermanic race in ward 4 for the upcoming election.  Ward 4 encompasses the communities of Edgemont, Country Hills, Beddington, Hidden Valley, Sandstone, MacEwan, Thorncliffe, Huntington Hills, Greenview, North Haven and Highland Park.  This in only one of many reason why I am running for a position on city council and hope that the track community can help support my efforts in getting elected.

If you or anyone you know that is able to help out in any way please do not hesitate to contact me by email (jonathan_s_wong@hotmail.com) or on my cell at 403-312-9736. Or alternatively if you have any questions about my campaign, community concerns, or opinions, please do contact me.

It’s going to be a tough challenge but with your support I know I can do this.

Thanks for your time.

Jon Wong
Aldermanic Candidate
Ward 4
