A Multisport Fieldhouse sooner rather than later

There is a need for a Calgary Multisport Fieldhouse sooner rather than later!

Tomorrow, June 30, 2010 at a public meeting the Calgary’s department of recreation will be submitting the master conceptual plan for Foothills and Glenmore to the Community and Protective Services (CPS) committee.  The CPS is made up of a number of Alderman who will be able to forward the plan to city council for approval.  We as the public have a change here to speak to the submitted plan. To voice our support!  There will be speakers representing the Calgary Multisport Fieldhouse Society but the Society would also like to have as many people as possible at the meeting to demonstrate the track community’s support for this project.

In particular, although Caltaf and the Calgary Multisport Fieldhouse Society support the conceptual plan (which includes  a fieldhouse) we are asking that the fieldhouse be built earlier rather than later in the project’s 10 year phasing.

The meeting will take place:
Wednesday June 30th 9 am
Front entrance to City Hall/by the Kiosk
