Multisport fieldhouse Approved

Below is an update from Barb about the Multisport Fieldhouse. Note however that although the fieldhouse has been approved for the city’s master plan, funding has not been secured nor are there specific plans for its construction. The future of the fieldhouse is still uncertain. Luckily there is a great team working hard at seeing this project through. If you are interested in contributing to the effort, contact the Multisport Fieldhouse Society.cmfs

Caltaf members:

The plans for a multisport fieldhouse in Calgary have been approved. The City has given the go ahead for a number of upgrades at Foothills athletic park and a 400m indoor track facility is included in the Master Plan. Details of the Master Plans will be made available to the public at two open houses. Everyone is encouraged to attend one of the open houses that is being hosted by the city. You only need to stay for a few minutes and share your ideas and enthusiasm for the project. Hopefully while the athletes are at practice, you can attend one of the open houses.

Tuesday April 20, 6-8 pm
South Calgary Community Association, 3130 – 16 St. S.W.

Wednesday April 21, 6-8 pm
University Elementary School, 3035 Utah Drive N.W.

The details of the facility will be available and you can see the grand plan.
